Dust off your lederhosen and raise your steins — Ober Gatlinburg is bringing back Gatlinburg’s Original Oktoberfest celebration this fall!

From September 25 through November 1, 2026, experience the sights, sounds, and flavors of the world’s most famous beer festival right in the heart of the Smokies. Ober will transform into a Bavarian-style festival grounds, complete with blue-and-white checkered décor, mums, fall leaves, oversized steins, and festive photo-ops. Enjoy live bands on the outdoor sound stage and stein-holding competitions for those eager to test their strength Bavarian-style. Relax in the mountaintop biergarten and sip on five different German beers from Yee-Haw Brewing, paired with authentic favorites such as chicken schnitzel, sausages, turkey legs, giant pretzels, and plenty of sweet treats including apple strudel, pumpkin fudge and more.

Tickets: There are not tickets to attend Oktoberfest, but you can purchase an Adventure Pass or Fun Pass to enjoy other activities across the mountain while attending the event, such as tram, scenic lift rides, coaster, bobsled, ice skating, zipline, etc.

For Oktoberfest, Ober will be serving a variety of traditional German food, such as schnitzel, bratwurst, pork loin, turkey legs, giant pretzels, and apple logs. In addition to all the great food, we will be serving several German-inspired beers from Yee-Haw Brewing and Hofbräuhaus:

Polkawagen brings an upbeat mix of Bavarian, German, Czech, Polish, Slovenian, and American folk traditions—an Oktoberfest soundtrack powered by a husband‑and‑wife duo that sounds like a full band. Their lively polkas, waltzes, marches, and sing‑alongs create an atmosphere that instantly pulls guests into the celebration.

This traditional and fun group also has family‑friendly comedy, sing-alongs, and Oktoberfest trivia. It’s an immersive, high‑spirited experience that will be a highlight of Oktoberfest at Ober Gatlinburg.

The Oktoberfest Variety Show starring Rudy Uresti is a mixture of traditional Circus and Magic tricks. Paired with the History of the Bohemian Agricultural Societies Fall Celebration that has grown from its original wedding celebration into an annual event that is recognize worldwide.

The Hodnett Family Band brings a warm blend of bluegrass and gospel rooted in their 3rd‑ and 4th‑generation musical heritage. Their performances are filled with faith, family, and the joy they find in every person they meet along the way.

They’ve taken their heartfelt sound from local North Carolina coffee shops and churches to well‑known stages like Smoky Mountain Tunes & Tales, Silver Dollar City, and Woodsongs. Join us for an uplifting, family‑centered performance that’s sure to leave you smiling.

Looking for more than just background music? Kevin McGuire is a multi-instrumentalist and Oktoberfest party entertainer who knows how to get the whole crowd involved! From the legendary Chicken Dance and the Hokey Pokey to sing-along beer-drinking party tunes and familiar favorites, Kevin keeps the energy high and the good times rolling. His interactive show gets people singing, dancing, laughing, and joining the party—whether they’re young, old, or somewhere in between!
